Summary
Tomsk, Russia
Industry: Pharmaceuticals
Company: NTM

Russian company seeks collaboration with U.S. company able to provide contract manufacturing of several original medicines (in particular, for Lyme disease) developed and patented in Russia.

Nauka, Tekhnika, Medicina (NTM) Ltd is a large Russian company engaged in wholesale of pharmaceuticals and having good credit history. It has a wide distribution network in Russia, actively participates in foreign trade and joint ventures, conducts scientific research. Several new medicines were developed and patented by NTM Ltd and officially approved by the Ministry of Health of Russia.

Jodantipyrin TM for tick encephalitis prevention and treatment is in high demand in Russia, where most of the population is potentially exposed to that dangerous disease. There is also demand in other CIS and Asian countries, but many of NTM's trade partners set condition of producing the medicines according to GMP. According to the company's marketing service estimates, sales of pharmaceuticals produced according to GMP will increase several times. Besides that, since 2005 Russian legislation requires manufacturing of pharmaceuticals on facilities complying to GMP, and most of Russian pharmaceutical factories where NTM places orders for contract manufacturing will not be able to perform corresponding reconstruction.

Manufacturing process is not technologically complicated and can be undertaken by most of pharmaceutical producers having production facilities complying to GMP standards. Russian company expects long-term collaboration with regular deliveries of the ready product; NTM will provide the formula and technology of production of the medicines and perform payments for production, packing and delivery of each lot. Being experienced foreign trader and expert on health related products market, the company is ready to undertake part of the formalities related to starting production of these medicines in the USA. Terms of collaboration (cost of manufacturing, terms of delivery etc.) are negotiable.
